As usual, I talked a lot about manner, AT history and some knowledges etc..
Enjoying delicious sandwiches, scorns, cakes and teas..
During the time, sometimes I could see sort of sparkles in some participants’ eyes!!
If I found it, I always felt really happy and special 🙂
Because it meant that I was able to provide the inspiring moment for someone!
Among them, some ladies told me that they had studied a little bit about Afternoon tea manner and history on the internet just before the lesson!
I was very moved by their great motivation!
However, there are so many wrong information so please be careful!
Look at this! They were really lovely ladies 🙂
Surprisingly, most of them were super international!
I lived in England, one lived in the US, another lived in Australia, one was born in overseas and the other one is about to go to Europe to perform the piano! Wonderful!!
I am sure they learnt a lot! 😉
I will inform you about my future lesson when it is fixed! I look forward to the next one!
A good chef and a patissier made samples based on my sketch!
This is unbelievable and this is “Thought becomes reality” Everything was in my head first and then on the paper.
And it became things now 🙂
Feeling very strange in good way!
This samples are for the Shinjuku branch!
Cakes are so cute 🙂
Wow they folded the napkin like rose same as the sketch!
Soft and moist scorns!
Sandwiches should be pretty as well!
Looks like it is happening in the wonderland!
(These cakes are for Aoyama branch.)
From now, I will brush up everything!
I am looking forward to the completed menu 🙂
It was really fun! When I felt like “this is it!”, I could not stop myself smiling 🙂
Thank you for your cooperation Leafull!
As for the other flavored teas and herb teas, I got many samples to try at my place!
Choosing some teas from those many teas is kind of a pressure though tea tasting is always enjoyable!
Recently I am sort of disappointed in the situation of teas which are served in the luxury hotels.
Because most of managers do not care about its quality, of course without any knowledge of tea, and only care of the budget..
Then they serve normal ones. (It is not only for luxury hotels though.)
For my case, I think I will face some difficulties to serve only really high quality expensive teas.
However I will do my best! 🙂
I went to join their practice and it was like a small concert for only me! How wonderful!!
During the party, there will be 3 performances which are solos of each of them and their collaboration for the last!
I am so excited too!! 🙂
I remember that the professor of my old university ( it was an art school) said ” Well you are not so good at drawing but… you are very good in some way.” to me. No doubt, I was very confused. lol
Anyway with these sketches, I went to the meeting with a chef and a patissier!
It is like a dream because they will make the things I sketched!!
I am too excited to sleep! 😀
I’m feeling a bit guilty because I actually have most of F&M’s tea blends at home but I sometimes come here to drink tea that costs over 1,000yen(about 10USD) per mini pot..
But it’s ok right? We enjoyed these tasty cakes!haha
Somehow I always want to go to China Town in Yokohama especially around new year.
Just going there (only about 30mins from Tokyo)
makes me feel like I takes a short trip!
So Today’s poposes are…
eating delicious rice-poridge @ Anki,
eating Chinese dumpling on the street,
having a fortuneteller tell about this year,
and having a lovely tea time at Chinese Tea salon.
That was quite clear to do!
It’s a bit difficult to find this restaurant, Anki, because it’s not on the main street but the back street.
When I first came here, I was a uni student. My professor brought me here recommending this rice porridge!
The rice porridge here is really delicious!
Usually Chinese dumpling (Sho-ron-pou) is not backed.
But one side of this dumpling is backed so I tried it.
I think I like the usual one. lol
Shop’s name is “Goku-chasou”.
They sell tea leaves and cups on the 1st floor and the cafe space on the 2nd.
Woody interior makd me relaxed.
I ordered one of blue tea, Arisan, and a sesame pudding.
I chose to blew my tea using Gaiwan cup.
Gaiwan is this.
Not only we can blew tea in this like a pot, but also we can drink tea from it.
Put tea leaves in Gaiwan
Pour hot water and keep the lid on
Slide the lid a little bit, hold it and pour tea to a Chakai next to it
And from the Chakai, pour tea to the tall cup of Monko-hai
From it, move tea to lower cup next to it
Take the tall empty cup to your nose and enjoy the aroma
Then you can taste it from the lower one
This is the way you can enjoy Chinese blue tea.
I’m totally feeling like this year would be great for me!
